[Scan-DC] Realistic PRO-42

  Hi.   I'm writing to solicit your help in refurbishing an old scanner. =
 I have a Realistic PRO-42 10 channel scanner.  It's in great working =
condition and it's a wonderful backup when too much traffic is going by =
to catch (it really helped 11 Sept!)

  The only problem is that the pins that held the ac adapter became =
loose.   I gave it  to a friend to fix.  It now accepts power, however.. =
now the scanner does not produce any audio output.  =20

Are there any tests I could do to rule out pieces... or would it even be =
worth trying to get fixed at Radio Shack?   Everything looks in tact.
