Greene County? Good luck hearing anything. Charlottesville has a trunked
system; the frequencies are at Lindsay Blanton's page,
http://www.trunkedradio.net/. My brother lives in Rapidan, and I had
these frequencies programmed in my BC278CLT. The channel numbers are
those of my scanners.

I've heard the DC trunked system from Rapidan. Here's something from the
VSP:

What frequencies do the Virginia State Police use?
Primary operations may be monitored with your scanner on the following
frequencies:
159.000 - Richmond, Wytheville, Salem, Eastern Shore
158.985 - Richmond, Salem
159.165 - Culpeper, Appomattox, Wytheville, Chesapeake
159.135 - Fairfax, Appomattox, Chesapeake

The Rapidan VFD is at 33.82 MHz. You 'll be able to hear the Norfolk
Southern Railway dispatcher at 160.950 MHz. CSX trains are at 160.230
MHz.
