-> the better option is to take this list to Yahoogroups

The best option is to stay where you are at on QSL/QTH. Why?

1) No advertising attached to each email. Those HTML advertisements take up
a lot of space, increasing the size of your download (a factor for those on
dialup connections)

2) Some serious SPAM filters are in place on QSL/QTH. Yahoo has some, but
not to the same level as QSL/QTH.

3) Yahoo says they don't give out your email address, but standby for
advertising (aka SPAM) to be sent to you, in addition to that sent attached
to every email posted to the list.

4) This is the very best reason: To support the hobby that we all love. Al
Waller has been spending literally thousands of dollars of his own money
each year to keep the hobby going in addition to the small time
contributions from others (nowhere near the real number of users). If you,
and everyone else, were to send just $10 a year, QSL/QTH would never need to
ask for money. So, skip the lunchtime trip to McD's twice a year, and you
will help the hobby, keep the service running, help protect yourself from
SPAM and a bunch of other benefits.

I for one am willing to pay for a service that I use everyday. I have
already sent my check to Al as well as a letter thanking him for all that he
has done. I subscribe to several lists on his service and the very least I
can do is give something back.

Well, that is my two-cents worth.
