It must have been over four miles one way from the middle of Alexandria.
Once I got moving, I was sweating too much to be cold. When I got there,
about 8 or 9 p.m., I could walk right up to the south end of the 14th
Street bridge. I believe a Renault Le Car was crushed, and it was still
in place. Take a look at some old pictures.
