Good Morning All,
Permit me to introduce myself. My name is Donald J. *Buck* Saunders. I
live in Shreveport and have been
a licensed Ham Op since 1981. I love all modes of communication, even
verbal, LOL!
At present, I am waiting for some re-modeling of our home and I will be
moving my *shack* to a much larger
room, one with a 240 vac circuit to hook up my Heathkit SB-220 amp. After
that, hopefully the wx will
have cooled enough for me to re-hang some of my antennas in the back yard
and add some new ones.
My main interest in ham radio is 160, 75, 40, 17, 12, 10, 6, 2, and 70 cm.
I am also an avid SWL , VLF,and
scanner monitor. I am continually adding agencies, business, and all ham
repeaters to several WIN Excel
spreadsheets.
I would like to be able to find someone who knows something about the
different Linux distributions and
help me set-up an exclusive Linux O/S computer and server to run our other
computers from.
You may have seen my white Ford F-150 in the area with a huge pipe *
headache* antenna platform, with a
lot of antennas on it. Well, I'm re-designing it so that it will go from
the front bumper back to the rear
bumper and have cross-sections to allow for other antennas to be installed
in-between the bed stake holes,
in front of the hood and behind the rear tailgate. (;-). It can also serve
as a ladder rack when I need to tote
one. You'll all see me around town when I'm finished, hehehehehe.
I'm *medically retired* and my traveling and work @round the house is
limited by my illnesses, but I love
to chat and build ham and scanner antennas.
When I'm on 2, you will find me mostly on the 146.67/07 ARCOS repeater, on
HF, you'll find me either on
28.345 ssb or 29.6 fm.

7, 8, and 10 of the Shreveport
Fire Department...Shreveport's *Finest*.
Respectfully submitted,
