Hi Everyone:
Just a note to let everybody to that I will be at the boat launch on Arthur
Teague Parkway Saturday at approximately 8:00 AM for the launch of the
balloon in OK. Also there will be a couple of the FM satellites coming over
about 9:30-10:00 if anybody would like to try and contact them. I will try
to have some info for people to look at about amateur radio balloon flights
and satellite commutations.
So if you or you know of somebody that would be interested in trying to
contact the balloon or satellites meet me at the river Saturday morning.
Maybe we will get to try out the antenna that was in this months QST (An
EZ-Lindenblad Antenna for 2 Meters). The UHF version will be in the next
months QST.

P.S. Here is update on D.A.R.T. 3
Greetings.
Final testing has been done on the payload package for D.A.R.T.-3. I am
happy to report that everything is on schedule for the Aug 11th Flight.
Launch is scheduled for 8:00 - 8:30 AM.
The Launch site is East of the parking lot of the Mimosa Heights Christian
Church located at 4801 N. Bartell Road, OKC.
GPS position for launch site: 35.31.12N 97.25.97W
>From I-35 take NE 50th to the East to Bartell Road, turn South on Bartell
and the church is about 100 yards on your left.
Net Control, Tom Webb WA9AFM, will begin at approx 0730 on the 146.820 (-
offset, tone 151.4) repeater.
For those of you out of town that cannot copy this repeater the audio is
available on Echolink by linking to the AD5JN-R node # 5398.
Craig Wright, NX50 and Harry, KC5TRB have advised me that the winds aloft
for the last several days indicate that the balloon will initially float to
the East and then make a u-turn and head back to the West (over the Launch
site) and end up near Mustang, OK.
Everyone is welcome to come and participate in this record breaking attempt.
