He's in mine as well.  I had one on-the-air encounter and one short

in-person chat with him.  Our QSO was on an otherwise dead 15 or 20m

band.  He was the only station that could be heard.  I was calling CQs

on FT8 and about to change bands when he answered my call.

 

It was a just a couple of weeks after that year's Visalia DX conference

and he probably remembered my call from that short chat that we had.  He

spoke English quite well and had a better command of it than some

Americans do.  Zorro was a very gracious and quiet man.  He will be missed.

 

Some people might not know that, in addition to his humanitarian work

around the world, Zorro went to great effort over many years to support

Monk Apollo and keep him on the air from Mount Athos.
