Because I've kept up my G3SYS call, I get regular bulletins from Ofcom,
the UK equivalent to the FCC.
Today's was titled:
*"Making amateur radio licences fit for the future"* with some proposed
changes to the UK licence.

This is somewhat equivalent to the FCC's NPRM: "Notice of Proposed
Rulemaking".You'll also find a version written in Welsh.
The biggest difference in the UK licence currently is that the power is
limited to 400 watts rather than our 1500. Also, the 3rd party
restrictions are more limiting than the in US license. [Note also the
British English spelling of the word "licence".]
