We convened at Pinnacle Peak Restaurant at 5pm, Thursday, September 15th. We had to rearrange tables and setup Carl's video equipment. A total of 12 members were in attendance and three on Zoom. Officers Elaine Jones (N7BOZ), Bruce Betterley (WA1BZQ) and myself (N6ITY) were in attendance. Our Secretary/Treasurer Richard Schmidt (K7NSW) was last heard to be in Alaska. A review of the meeting locations, Cattletown and Pinnacle Peak was done with nearly a split between who prefers which location. Pinnacle Peak was given a thumbs down after the evenings experience, so I offered an additional location, Canyon's Crown Pub located down the street at 6958 E Tanque Verde Road. There was a quick vote to head to Canyon's Crown for the October meeting. The subject of supporting the Arizona QSO Party with an award plaque was brought up and a vote confirmed SADXA will purchase an award for $60 dollars. Bill Clark (K6WSC) volunteered to handle the award purchase. Our speaker for the night was Wes Minear (W7UO) on "DXAtlas". It was well received by all.
I'm finding that we have 23 paid members for 2022. According to the paperwork I have from Richard I don't believe everyone has paid. Please check your checking account to see if you have paid and get with Richard to settle up.
Thanks to all that attended this month's meeting and hope to see you in person next month. We will have Zoom up at the CC Pub and our speaker will be Tim Duffy of DX Engineering.
Happy DXing, Dennis / SADXA VP
