[SADXA] Getting confirmations for old 3D2AG QSOs

Last year I data mined my old logs for unconfirmed band slots.  This
research revealed that there were several unconfirmed contest QSOs with
Tony, 3D2AG.  One of them was very old, dating way back to the 2001 CQWW
CW contest.

I emailed Tony about these contacts and found out that he was willing to
confirm them.  The Fiji Islands had cut off all mail traffic in and out
of the country, so exchanging QSL cards was out of the question.
Instead of cards Tony came up with a rather unique solution to the
problem.  He asked me to create ADIF records for the old QSOs that I
wanted to have confirmed.  After verification he would then include them
in an outgoing LotW update.

Here's how his process works.  He is, or was, willing to look up the old
QSOs in his paper logs.  If a match is found he will submit the
associated ADIF record electronically to LotW for credit.  His only
caveat was that if any of the transactions was formatted wrong and was
rejected, he didn't have the time to correct them.  The risk was all on
my side: these records had to be right the first time.

That was a risk I was willing to assume so I sent him several ADIF QSO
records for his consideration.  He verified that the QSOs were in his
old paper logs, sent the records over to LotW via his logbook software,
and the LotW confirmations appeared a day or two later.

So if you need some old Fiji or Rotuma Island QSOs to be confirmed, you
might want to contact Tony and see if he's still using this process.
His email address can be found at QRZ.com.
