The sun is busy today. Looking at the New Mexico LWA2 radio telescope

at 30 MHz, it's been steadily the brightest object in the sky at that
frequency
since it rose this morning, effectively blocking out the other strong
radio sources
in the sky (Cas A, Cygnus A and the Galactic center). Normally the sun is
barely visible at that frequency with the LWA. It'll be raising the
background
noise on the higher HF bands today - and should easily be detected if
you rotate a 2m beam in that direction.
