Hi Wes,I could not find a plethora of .wav files on the main drive. In the main screen there is a pull-down menu called "Save." Maybe the default installation had one of the save functions enabled. The installation software could have snuck stuff in that isn't needed, and that would be really easy to miss. There also is a "Delete all .wav & .c2 files in SavDir" in the File pull-down menu. I couldn't find SavDir anywhere, even with hidden files enabled. I recently had to load all of my software from scratch, so I may have a newer version. Mine is v2.5.4 d8164. Carl. A little research indicated that there was a hidden file that WSJT-X writes to that fills up with what are probably garbage snippets. A look with Treesize showed 1,294,765 files occupying 412 GB of my hard drive. I'm deleting them as I speak, but it's taking a while. Reportedly there isn't a preventative action, other than deleting them periodically.Wes N7WS______________________________________________________________SADXA Website http://www.sadxa.orgSADXA mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/sadxaHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:SADXA at mailman.qth.netThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netYou can support qsl.net: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
