John,
I was surprised to find that 6-7 people had already joined the zoom meeting without the manager starting it! We don’t limit login’s before, during or late in the meeting. We encourage those that can get to the meeting to join in person but I understand some of our members are out of town but still wish to join in. Adding zoom to a live meeting adds a lot more work to just running an in person one. At the moment I’m the one running the entire show so your support is welcomed!

>> The SADXA met at Cattletown and via Zoom. We had 6 in person and 6 zoomer's. The Zoom session did not start off well. I tested it out at home with Alan's login and it worked fine. When I got to the restaurant Zoom told me it did not recognize the location and sent an email with a code to Alan's inbox. I could not see that, so I had to log in as myself, which precluded a controlled zoom session. I also had some startup setbacks with connecting my PC with the WiFi and TV. Carl helped me get through some of that and we were ready about 15 minutes before the speaker was to start. I believe, Tim Duffy, however, was thinking we were on MDT and was ready to talk at 6pm local. He bailed on us at 6:45pm claiming he was out of time!?
>> We then went ahead with the meeting. There was no treasurer so no report there. Alan may well be out for the rest of the year leaving me in charge. At our round table we discussed the working conditions with solar and thunderstorms as being a major setback to working DX. We discussed the Pinnacle Peak restaurant meeting place and decided to go back there for September meeting. Bruce will check on that with Mindy of PP. We'll update you to whether we can be there in September shortly. We also discussed limiting check-ins via Zoom and those in attendance seem to feel that we should only use zoom for those out of town, such as our speaker. There is no Wi-Fi at Pinnacle Peak so we will need to setup a cellular connection to a PC and project that on a fold down screen, since there is no TV at PP. Carl will update me on available equipment to do that.
>> I talked to Teri of DX Engineering, Tim Duffy's assistant, and was able to schedule Tim for October meeting. I spent some time explaining the time differences for daylight and standard time from AZ to MD. I think she understands now.
>> Speakers for September will be Wes and myself on the subject DXAtlas and Bandmaster for monitoring DX spots.
