I waited until TX5N changed to a straight CQ from CQ EU, and then started calling. They were not responding to NA calls until the switch. I eventually got a reply. Yay! I now have 12 slots and all bands except 160. The 80 meter contact makes one more toward 5 Band DXCC. I already have DXCC on 40 - 10. Last night the 80 meter SSB signals were just a bit too weak. I am monitoring the 160 meter TX5N CW and FT8 frequencies, but I don't expect to hear anything. They pack up tomorrow. I have to say that the TX5N crew did an utterly fantastic job. On a different note, two days ago a semi-rare DX station was on 24.230, which is the SSTV frequency. There were comments in the spots complaining about rude NA stations causing QRM. I was unable to break through the pile-ups to work him and also suggest that he move up or down a few kHz. When working SSTV I will often respond to a CQ and make a friendly suggestion that they move off of the SSTV frequency. So far everyone has taken the suggestion. Carl KB7AZ Sent from my HAL 9000
