I'm going to argue that point. While the two modes share computerized decoding,
with RTTY savvy operators can tinker with the decoder properties. Furthermore,
in DX operation anyway, the RTTY op controls when to call, how long to call,
what to send, and the split frequency, if any. About all the WSJT op can do is
control signal placement. The message is canned, the timing is canned. Since
everyone is transmitting at the same time you can't even hear the QRM unless you
standby for a sequence or two. I'm not saying there is no skill involved, I
just think more and different skills are associated with successful RTTY DXing.
