[SADXA] HAMFEST THIS SATURDAY

Darrel, it was a modest hamfest but still well-attended. Sheltered
spaces for the sellers. No rain but some drips from the gutter
downspouts and a few puddles to navigate around. Pleasant temperatures,
especially during the early hours.  More buyers than sellers.  It was in
a large church parking lot, about half-full of vehicles, that provided a
lot of space for all of the attendees.

There was lots of socializing among people, many of whom hadn't met
face-to-face for a couple of years.  More switch-flipping than sales and
my behavior fit into that mold as well, as I only bought a couple of
hand tools and three turnbuckles myself.  My chief accomplishment was in
getting a few QSL cards checked by Ron Cade.  As befitting the general
tone of the hamfest, Ron and I had a good chat about several topics,
mainly on DXing and propagation.  In summary, I'd say that a good time
was had by all.
