I hope that you all had a great holiday season and are safe and healthy.  Best wishes for safe, health and happy 2021. Propagation is improving and activity seems to have picked up a bit recently so you should be happy radio operators as we enter into the new year.

This Thursday we will have our monthly meeting once again held on Zoom.  I am confident though as we get a bit farther into the new year after the vaccine has been more broadly administered among the community, that we will once again be able to meet in person for our monthly meetings.

This month SADXA holds its annual election of officers.  So far, I have not received any nominations for our three elected positions of President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer.  If you have interest in being considered for any of these positions, please drop me an e-mail and I will add your name to the list of candidates for the election. We will open up nominations again for these positions at the beginning of our Thursday meeting.  In the absence of any new nominations at the meeting, the current slate of officers has expressed interest in serving for an additional year. Those officers are:

Dennis Dismachek, N6ITY, Vice President
Mike Casey, W7TUS, Secretary Treasurer

For our program this month I have a very good RSGB YouTube video on HF Propagation.  The presentation last about 45 minutes.    Following the program, we will have a general “round the table” discussion about your recent DX activities, radio projects and other news of interest to our club members.

The Zoom meeting invitation will be sent out to you later today.  Zoom doors will open around 6:30 and the meeting will start around 7 PM.  If you do not receive the Zoom invitation today and want to attend the session, please send me an email and I will forward you the meeting ID and password. Also, guests are always welcome to attend so if you know of anyone you would like to invite to our meeting, feel free to forward the Zoom meeting information to them.
