On that particular study, AP News Fact Check reports:

"... the study is not affiliated with Stanford and is based on debunked 
claims about face masks ..."

The lone author, Vainshelboim ,  is not employed by Stanford, and 
apparently did not respond to a request for comment.

There may other other more credible studies ,  but for now I'm going 
with the current CDC recommendation to wear masks.
