At least with this particular operator, he liked to call several CQs 
without answering anyone and then start replying to stations three at a 
time, using two or three simultaneous transmit threads.  He would CQ 
several times, fill his F&H input queues, and then finally to respond to 
those in line.  Then he would begin a new cycle.

 From the point in time when I first started calling I had to wade 
through four CQ cycles.  Then I became the first QSO of cycle five.
