As a replacement for all the hamfests we’ve missed I suggest EE Surplus, a
division of Elliott Electronics. They are in the same building, one door
to the S. Along with their huge selection of aviation surplus (gauges,
cylinders, transponders, radios, audio panels and a flap from a B737. They
have some ham radios mostly older tube types. I did see 3 Heathkits; an
SWR meter, a phone patch as well as an SB200). There is some really old
test equipment some but of it looked like it came from a swamp. LOTS of
other stuff as well.
Any way, it’s a fun place that reminded me of my childhood in the 1950s
pawing through all the surplus places along Bay Shore Hwy in Redwood City.
There was only one other person in the store so Social Distancing shouldn’t
be a problem.
