Wes,

Well you have a documented 40m DAY path QSO of 2280 mi, 9 min. after Solar
Noon. Some might argue, its not DX. HI HI.

But, you set the BAR!! It wasn't New Mexico either.

Path was almost DUE EAST, and worst case as far as distance to terminator
and maximum D-absorption is concerned.

Interestingly enough, KO7SS cw skimmer on Mt. Lemon also recoded this
signal, 3 min after Solar Noon.

KO7SS
  C6AGU
7015.0	CW CQ 11 dB	31 wpm	1913z 26 Nov

This was likely F2 propagation of 3 Hops (~750 mi / hop) and 3 D absorption
losses.

I believe its possible to do much better (Real DX Hi Hi) before Dec. 21st.

Today, I heard K2WK 30 min after SN, 1888 mi in Va.

So the East Coast and more is being heard at SN +/-

Usually, I think I am lucky to hear Southern Cal and NM at SN.

As far as encouragement for all is concerned, below is a comment I received
from Bill K6WSC.

"I receive spots only from AZ & UT CW Skimmers via the NC7J node on the
AR-Cluster. Several Italian stations were also spotted around solar noon. I
could hear them but could not work them."

I am hoping the CW skimmers will be an aide to the Solar Noon DX hunt.
