Now that you are Zeroing in on a key that goes up to 100 mph take a look at the CT599. I had one given to me many years ago and I love it. It is heavy and doesn't walk around on the table if you have a heavy hand and is great. It has all the adjustments you need to set it up right.

I looked elsewhere and discovered that after the original maker died his two brothers took over the production. I looked for their webpage and it is no longer available. This disappoints me because that key fit one of my important criteria: made in America. I have nothing against the Italians. I do like to keep my money at home. Please overlook the fact that my wife drives a Toyota! 🙂

I just had to learn how much tension to put on the knurled lock nuts. I sold the Vibroplex after I acquired a Nye Viking iambic paddle, since the NV paddle had an action that better matched my CW sending style. Still later I went to an electronic keyboard. Now I've come back to paddles again.

However, one person tells me it is tedious to set and does not hold a setting. If you have used or are using this key I will appreciate hearing from you. This inquiry is limited to the Vibroplex iambic key. Please do not share your enthusiasm for your favorite key - often costing much more money and made in far away places like Italy. I will go there with you if the Vibroplex turns out to be a poor choice. So, Vibroplex iambic users, past or present - what say you? Thank you and “Good DX”!
