Hi Darrel,
THIS IS GREAT DATA!!
Here are my thoughts from this data.
1) COMPARED TO YESTERDAY
Your reported NO DX data yesterday during the SN Noon hour (+/- 1 Hr.)
Today might be a bit different?
2) IN GENERAL - 40m DAY DX near SN IS MORE PRODUCTIVE IN THE PM RATHER
THAN THE AM.
3) THE 1926-2134z RANGES MAY HAVE SHOWN SN DX PROPAGATION?
Can the Stations QTH be listed that fall in the 1818z to 2018z window?
4) YOUR DATA SHOWS 40m PM DX PROPAGATION FROM 1926 - 2134z. (12:26pm
to 2:34pm)
5) AFTER 2100z (2pm) - 40m DX data is shown propagating further South
(Reunion and S AFRICA)
6) DATA SHOWS 40m DX PROPAGATION into S AFRICA FROM 2122- 2126z.
(2:22pm to 2:26pm)
MY SUMMARY
A) Significant 40m DAY DX Paths near SN are shown to be possible from
about 1700z to 2134z. This result does not exclude other time frames.
B) Best +/- SN 40m DX appears to be after 1900z towards EU
C) After about 2pm - AFRICA Continent might be the next BEST target,
but unlikely at SN.
D) As Darrel Stated (As I did in my 40m DX DAY presentation) during Dec
Solstice - 40m is currently a 24/7 DX BAND. There is NO OTHER BAND at LOW
SOLAR that can hold this claim!! Pretty amazing, but this data (and SN
CONTACTS) makes it clear.
I hope you might be able to run this same data on Dec. 21st if possible for
comparisons.
THANK YOU SO MUCH DARREL FOR CONTIBUTING TO THE 40m SN DX CHASE!!
We have many doing so, in many different capacities and all are appreciated.
Perhaps you can comment on my comments.
Best 73's and thanks so much for your efforts and input for 40m DAY DX.

I ran 40m WSPR again today from about 2 hours before to about 2 hours after
solar noon.
The rhombic beam antenna has a few dB of gain towards Europe, but has
relatively strong sidelobes around 0 dBi or more in most other directions.
I transmitted 10 times per hour. This resulted in several thousand reports
over the period, from 241 separate stations.
Here's a list of UTC when I was being heard by a given DX station, and the
call or call area.
1710 - 1842 JA (2 separate stations)
1714 - 1742 BA7JA (Guangzhou, China)
1926 - 2134 OE (3 separate stations)
1926 - 2134 HB9TMC
1926 - 2134 DL, DK (12 stations)
2018 - 2134 F (2 separate station)
2048 - 2134 G (4 separate stations)
2048 - 2134 SV9KI
2054 - 2134 LX1DQ
2102 - 2134 PA (7 stations)
2102 - 2134 I (3 stations)
2108 - 2134 F61695 (SWL, Reunion Isle) (my best DX today)
2116 - 2126 EA (2 stations)
2122 - 2126 ZS3D, ZS3RF
2134 OH7KAA
I think none of these occurred exactly at local solar noon, but many from
Europe are within a few minutes.
However, they are all during Tucson daylight, and I think all it really
shows that 40m is open for DX at the moment during most daylight hours.
Note that none of these are 2-way QSOs. They are all reception reports,
posted on the Internet, of my 40m WSPR signal being heard.
Cheers,
Darrel, aa7fv.
