[SADXA] "DXA"

Well, it’s pretty cool, and not so simple seeing as how it also sends me a message within a minute or two congratulating me on another contact! Hi. Another nice feature is that they show where they are operating currently, so I get a heads up as to the bands I still need. I’m trying to work them on as many CW slots as I can cover (not sure I can do 80 or 160 like I did for VP6DX!!). In the meantime I broke out my microphone, blew the dust off of it, and worked them on a few SSB slots! Hi.

Thanks for the info.

Cheers!

 From the VK0EK website:*

=DXA=**is a relatively simple application that runs on a separate computer at
the DX location that is connected between the logging computers and the
satellite link. It is essentially a daemon that watches the radio logs but does
not modify the logs in any way. Data copied from the logs are uploaded to the
central website and used to generate the graphics on the client browser. Anyone
with an ordinary browser can watch as the screen is automatically updated once
per minute with the activities of the previous minute. You do not have to
refresh your browser--it does so automatically each minute. It also totally
prevents losing a valid contact due to a pirate (unauthorized) station. *

I notice that the VP6D group is using this, and apparently it shows their log at nearly “real time”—at least it is much quicker than the method I have utilized previously which is updated only periodically. That other method only shows me with 4 contacts, but the DXA link shows all 7 of the ones I have so far. Cool!
