Wes and All,
Well it doesn’t surprise me, and I think I may have commented on this anomaly previously. For a while now I’ve seemingly gotten better results, and heard better signals from DX stations, on 40 meters. VP6D was pretty good everywhere, but A good example from my end has been Z23MD. XT2SZZ is another one, but maybe it’s just where they are located??? I’m not hearing very many Europeans these days, but the ones I do hear tend to be loudest on 40, or maybe 30. You folks with nice gain antennas on the higher bands may not be having the same experience I am. I know I’m not a very good indicator of anything, but those stats sure look a lot like my logbook!
Cheers!

I don't know how many of you use Clublog (as DXers you all should) or see the
weekly activity report but this one's interesting:
https://clublog.org/dxreport.html
in that the Most Active Bands shows that 40-meters is the most active (perhaps
due to contest activity). This is unusual, 20-meters usually has that place.
That said, 160-meters has a higher percentage of DX QSOs than 40 does and
20-meters is still the money band for DX.
