Is there more in that box than a transformer. It looks as if there may be
some active electronics.
Also, I don't need to remind you, so this comment may be more for people
with less experience, it is good for 5000 watts only if the primary circuit
you plug it into can deliver 5000 watts. A typical 110 VAC outlet in your
house is good for 15A which, in practical terms, can deliver "only" about
1500 watts. Also, on the 220V side, that is only 7 1/2 A. Just a reminder.
I wonder if it would make a good isolation transformer? I'll bet that, if it
is just a transformer, one could wire it to be an isolation transformer. It
looks like a very handy piece of gear for the workbench. Thanks for the tip.
