Yesterday afternoon a guy shows up on my repeater and was kind of noisy so I
asked him to repeat his call.  I thought the call was familiar but we had a
QSO going and he said he was in a retirement home and hadn't been active.
Then I figure out who it was. It was W7FF, Jim Swafford.  He's in a Pio
Decimo home or ON Pio Decimo, but I'm not sure where because there's one
near down town but Camino Pio Decimo crosses Tanque Verde just west of
Pantano.  Just within HT range of the 94 repeater.

 

Anyway, I don't know if anyone knew he and his XYL are in a assisted living
home.
