[SADXA] DXCC Challenge Musings on a Quiet Day

The latest deletion of Kingman Reef got me thinking
about what I perceive as an inequity between the DXCC
Honor Roll and the DXCC Challenge.
Now, while the deletion affects both programs (your
Credits for the Deleted Entity are also deleted), the
inequity lies in that while the entry level for the Honor
Roll is adjusted, the similar level (3,000 Q's) for the
DXCC Challenge is not.
I can see the rationale for the Honor Roll being limited
to Current Entity's, but the reason for applying the similar
rationale to the Challenge evades me.
The Honor Roll rules avoid having the top 10 populated
by those who have been around the longest and accumulated
the most countries. Just imagine if the top of the Honor Roll
included ALL the Deleted Entities (401 at last count), very
few, if any, could reach the Honor Roll today.
Another thought . the Honor Roll "Bar" is set using the "Top
Down" method, while the "Bar" for the Challenge is set using
the "Bottom Up" method. Including credits for Deleted Entities
in the DXCC Challenge would not preclude people from reaching
it, far from it.
Therefore, I would propose including Deleted Entities in the calculation
for the DXCC Challenge.
Comments, both pro and con are welcome.
