Since I now have an AL-1200, I no longer need my trusty AL-811H with 572Bs.
It is presently wired for 240 volts, and can be changed to 120. I replaced
the 811s with 572Bs about a year ago. That mod added a lot to the
ruggedness. The tubes should last a long time.
I am running a lot of RTTY and other digital modes. The 811H works fine on
SSB and CW. It will do RTTY at about 250 watts and I wanted at least 500
watts, so that is why I upgraded. The only down side to the AL-1200 is the
fan noise. The AL-811H is relatively quiet.
A new AL-811HD (811H with 572Bs) runs $1300 plus shipping. I am asking $600
for mine. If you are interested, give me a call at 797-2996 or 906-8145. You
can see it on my QRZ page.
