I bought this a while ago with the idea of going QRO on
2 Meters. After Collecting an appropriate HV Supply, I
realized that I am not as young as I used to be. So, I am
going over to the Solid State side. Switching Power Supplies
are so much lighter.

This Amp was reviewed in the July 1958 Issue of QST. It
uses two 4X250B's (or 4CX250B's if you have them). When
I got the Amp the Plate Tuning Knob had been broken off and
the Knob was missing. I obtained the era correct Knob and
replaced the tuning rod. I also corrected a few mechanical
defects.

I had one of these back in the early 60's and ran 1 KW, Plate
Modulated AM with it. I had both the 6 and 2 Meter Plate Tank
circuits back then, but this one I have today has only the 2
Meter Plate Tank. The Grid circuit however, is a dual band
circuit. It also has a way to adjust the Grid Tuning to balance
the Screen current in each tube. The Metering has one Plate
Current Meter and a second that will measure each tubes Grid
and Screen Current.

Pictures are available to serious enquirers. Asking $350 plus
shipping from 85641.

ADDITIONAL OFFER: If you come and pick it up, I will give you
(yes GIVE, like FREE) a 1.5 KV 0.5 Amp rack mount Power
Supply. It has a Variac input to adjust voltage plus a string of
VR tubes for the Screen Voltage. I will also toss in another
Plate Transformer.
