>> Don Carlson , KQ6FM passed away this morning at approximately 5 AM from complications related to pancreatic cancer. Don was very active in both Amateur Radio as well and the commercial broadcast industry. Don worked at numerous radio stations throughout California and Nevada usually hosting oldies Rock and Roll and jazz shows. Don also owned a voice talent company providing voice overs and audio for numerous TV and radio commercials around the US.

In Nevada Don served as District Emergency Coordinator for the NW District, Assistant Section Emergency Coordinator, Section Emergency Coordinator, Public Information Coordinator and most recently Assistant Section Manager. Don was also a member of the ARRL National Public Relations Committee which put together the PIO Swiss Army Knife and associated training program for PIOs.
