    Just a note to pass on that the new issue of National Geographic  has two articles of interest to DXers.

    The cover story about the active sun is well written and illistrated, and has some great images from the Solar Dynamics Observatory. 

    Towards the back of the issue is a timely piece on Socotra island, adding some historical and 
cultural perspective to the recent 7O6T expedition. I wish this article had come out 2 weeks ago, so I could have been educated during those hours in the pileups.

    Good reading.
