Subj: [VHF] "Mother of All 6m Grid DXpeditions" starts this week!
Starting Thursday 26 May, David Schaubert, NJ0W, will begin a 46-day 6m Grid
DXpedition covering 90 different grid squares in the Rocky Mountains,
Southwest Deserts, and Great Plains. Over 400 hours of operating time have
been planned. Within his scheduled hours of operation, David will operate WSJT
modes (mostly FSK441 meteor scatter) when there is no sporadic-E happening at
his location, and SSB/CW when there is.
See Davids web page at http://www.6t6kix.com/pages/ham/nj0w.htm for complete
details, as well as for unanticipated updates to the schedule due to the
always-entertaining antics of the ubiquitous Mr. Murphy.
Time is a critical commodity for WSJT meteor-scatter operation because the
technology is speed-limited by its inherent design. Therefore, please READ AND
RE-READ Davids published WSJT operating procedures on the above page. DONT
WASTE EVERYBODYS TIME by not knowing what youre doing!! If you have
questions, ask them now on the FFMA or WSJTGROUP list. If youre not an FFMA
or WSJTGROUP subscriber, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FFMA or
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WSJTgroup and sign up. Dont cross-post replies
or questions to all five boards listed in the TO header, as this will generate
list traffic that will be unappreciated by many.
Wishing David and all of us the best of luck!
