[SADXA] Transverters

I am considering getting a transverter for my K2, but don't know anything about band characteristics on 6, 2, or other VHF/UHF bands. The K2 does not demodulate FM -- only CW, and SSB. Digital modes are available through and audio connection to the computer.

Looking for some advice.  Is there a sizable CW / SSB population on 6 or 2 meters ? 

Max power out of the kit transverter is 20 watts.
