Annual CADXA BBQ, Thursday, May 5th.


Yes, it is only 6 days away!  May 5, 2011




This is our Annual Family and Friends Social Event.


Social gathering begins at 5:30 p.m., with BBQ being served about 6:30.


Where?  Pera Club in a Ramada just before you get to the main buildings. You should have no trouble finding us! Just look for the gaggle of HF and VHF antennas on cars parked nearby!!! Or see www.cadxa.org for details of the Pera Club's location.


Menu: Pulled pork, beef and chicken BBQ catered by Honeybears BBQ. 
Sides include potato salad, cold slaw, and more.  Desert will be served during the presentation.


Cost is only $5.00 a person. Pay at the "door." (No advanced payment or registration required.)  It would be nice to have a reasonable head count, so, if you know you are coming, send an email to w1xt at cox.net and I'll keep a number total for Gary, K8BN, Mr. In-Charge for this event!!  But if you don't let us know, don't let that stop you from coming. We can handle everyone, even if Gary has to give up his meal and desert!


Surplus BBQ will be sold at the end of the gathering and after the Fire Department leaves.


CADXA Operating Awards, prizes and all that stuff included. Same as every year.


Our Presentation is the story of the recently built and completed Bridge over the Hoover Dam, given by the project engineer of record himself, Berwyn Wilbrink.  Bring your wife, kids, ham friends and others... just be sure to be there.  


There will be (many) door prizes and you guessed it: another ***.  Can you guess?


Program begins around 7 p.m. give or take a bit.
