   Not sure, but here is a dandy link to see where the storms are, and thus 
if they are in the likely skip zone for whwerver you are hearing:

    Also, the low and medium level proton measurements were way up, which I 
think can raise
the HF noise level quite a bit.

  But with 35 year old SRP power lines on 3 sides here, I often am limited 
by that before the
other sources.
