I worked them on 75-meter SSB (using the dipole cut for CW) at 1256Z.

Just for giggles I tuned 160 and there they were (on the same antenna).  I was using the K3 which doesn't have a tuner, so I switched over to the TS-870 which does.

Unfortunately, the '870, although programmed with CW memories won't transmit on CW without a key plugged in.  So I had to fuss around to get the Bencher unplugged from the back of the K3 and into the back of the '870.

In the meantime they were fading---considerable QSB---but on one peak they answered me @1316Z.

100W to an infinite SWR 80-meter inverted-vee with the apex at 45'.  Not bad.

Now to get them on RTTY.
