They were 59 on 14.195 at 2030Z today. But who are they working? JA's and an occasional YV. By the time they get back to W's they're down to S5 and the QRN is S7. Unbelievable.
On 17-meter CW, where they were very weak, they were reduced to calling CQ but according to the Internet spots they were listening up 6. Whatever happened to listening up 1 when CQing on a marginal band? I seldom look at spots so I was hopelessly calling up 1 - 2.
They need to take those propagation forecasts off their website and stop believing them. So far they have been completely bogus.
I think I'm going out to the woodworking shop and beat on my thumb with a hammer. It will be more fun.

Ah, the wonderful world of chasing DX ....
Reminds me of when Bharati (sp ?) was on VU4. Propagation was very short in
the AM and as soon as she started to peak in W1 land she would announce that
the propagation to NA was gone and they would turn the beam to EU.
There we were, several dozens of us, screaming at her to no avail. Then one of
the locals got a Russian to tell her she was pointing the antenna the wrong
direction.
That Saturday morning several of us got through, all the more important to me,
as that QSO put me on the Phone HR.
And people wonder why Dx'ers are crazy ...
