Hello from the Williams Hamfest:

I met with Bob NF7E of the North AZ DX Assn and we discussed opportunities
for promoting our respective passions (Arizona QSO Party being mine).
While the dates are different, they are both in the "Fall".

Route 66 on the Air is a special event that's been held every year for the
past 10 years. This year will be 11. There are 20 stations along Route
66 from E terminus in Chicago to W terminus in Santa Monica, including
stations in Kingman and Flagstaff. As this is a week-long event
encompassing two weekends, there is ample opportunity to work many of the
20 stations. Put this special event on your calendar for Sep 11-19, and
look for further information at http://w6jbt.org/.

Arizona QSO Party has some new rules and new award categories this year.
There is one award sponsorship up for grabs, Arizona County Expedition
Single Op. If you would like to sponsor this plaque for 2010, please send
me an email at the following email address:
info at azqsoparty.org

Also, the Planned Operations page is reset for 2010. We do want to make
sure we have all counties on the air this year, so please announce your
operation as soon as you are able to determine your participation. Send
callsign, county (ies) of operation, and bands/modes planned to the
following email address:

I am at the Williams hamfest promoting the Arizona QSO Party for 2010.
The usual vendors are here: ICOM, RF Stuff, ARRL, and a host of
tailgators. Come on up for tomorrow!

For further information on the Arizona QSO Party, please see the website
at http://www.azqsoparty.org. For your convenience, the 2010 announcement
is reproduced below.
