It is with some reluctance that I offer for sale my beloved Kenwood TS-870SAT.  Before advertising more widely, I thought I would try to keep it local.

I bought this radio new from PACE so it is a local, one-owner rig, from a non-smoking environment.  In some respects this is still a better radio than my newer Elecraft K3, but I'm not getting any younger and it's time to downsize some more and find it a good home.

The radio is the first IF-DSP transceiver brought to market and features a built-in antenna tuner, built-in Accukeyer (the best keyer going) with four message memories, legendary Kenwood audio, both transmit and receive and the best speech processor of any radio ever. The '870s are widely desired for ESSB and features excellent AM receive BW for SWLing.

The radio S/N is 90400068, which includes some IMD improvements not incorporated in earlier units.  The '870 uses a true RS-232 interface to logging programs and other control software.  (The Elecraft actually uses much of the same command set).

Cosmetically the unit is in near perfect condition and comes with the original microphone, accessory plug, power cable, operators' manual, additional full service manual, original dust cover and factory double boxes.

Offered as a package, included is a new, in factory box (opened only to verify function) RS-35M Astron power supply and a Signalink USB RTTY/PSK soundcard and Kenwood aux interface cable.
