I started to tell you the other day that I have done a lot of research on  
Verticals, use them a lot, and really like them for a bunch of reasons. One of  
the things I found out that three radials do in fact help, and of course 120  
full length at the lowest frequency is the ultimate, but that the real turning 
 point is at about 6 radials at the lowest frequency.Here is where you start 
to  see the real reactance in the system, the impedence approaches 50 ohms, 
and it  really starts to perform. The next step in number of radials is 10.  If 
you  can get 6 or 10 down, you will have an excellent performer.
