[SADXA] Contest

We did have a good time working from Owen's place with low power and generators last night-- a cross between contesting and field day. It was great working with Foster Baker and picking up various tips. I worked 20 and 80 meters from about 5:30 - 9:00 Saturday night and had a great time. We were operating with two stations, the other was parked on 40 meters. Lots of Japan activity. Europe was just starting to open when I had to leave.

Very late last night and early this morning I worked from the house for an hour or so, and managed to get a score of 2100. Other successes were exporting logs and uploading them to Eqsl, LOTW and Ham radio deluxe. Now I am impressed!

If you are interested in working the 160 phone contest next week I believe Owen is the point of contact. You can send him an Email at ak7ar at cox.net

That's pretty good Jerry, at my current rate it will be about 2029 before I get 43 countries on 160m!

Worked it casually especially late last night and the last couple of hours this afternoon. 40 meters opened up to EU nice around midnight.

Mine was all search and pounce (sometimes assisted by the cluster), all 6 bands including only 2 contacts on 160m and 6 contacts on 10m.

  Total contacts 142,

  Countries 57,

  Total score 42,600

I had hoped to go help the RST club with their effort but didn't make it, hopefully they had a good time.

Anyone working the contest post your results here for all to see.

I spent about 9 hours doing a Search and Pounce effort on 160 this weekend.

  Made 71Q's

  213 QSO Pts

  worked 43 Countries

for a total score of 9159

  Not exactly a world record.
