We have a team on this right now.  We don't want to comprimise what we have worked so hard to do so far.

Subject: [SADXA] FW: [K7RST] House Bill 2514

It will be a very slow process this year.  Because the legislature is focusing on the budget, they have not held committee hearings on anything else.  It gets worse.  By their own rules, the deadline for committee hearings in each chamber is March 13th.  It's conceivable that they can skate away from hearing any other bills this session.  The best way to keep on top of this is to have someone representing ham radio organizations in the state schmoozing and lobbying at the state capitol each session.

How do I know this?  Because I am the co-founder and Treasurer of "the" firearms related pro-rights group in Arizona - The Arizona Citizens Defense League: http://www.AzCDL.org .  To get a bill passed, we've learned we need a full-time presence at the Capitol during every session and a membership to pummel the legislators with emails, letters and phone calls.

If you want HB 2514 to not die in committee all the Ham Radio groups in the state need to be involved and be on it like white on rice.

It has had 2 readings in the Arizona Legislature. Feb 11 and 12th .  Here is the link to check it out.

This will probably be a slow process …but maybe some light at the end of the tunnel.  Thanks to Tom Fagan.
