[SADXA] QRP Anyone ?

There was a guy at the Williams hamfest who had some QRP kits from China.
They looked pretty decent, but he said it costs more in import duties than
the actual building of the radio. I'm not sure but it seems possible that
you would end up receiving a customs invoice. Last year I was one of 3
people in Tucson who ordered an astronomy item from the U.K., and about 2
months after we got the items, we got a customs bill for an additional
$100+.
Then there is also the question of FCC compliance. I believe a kit does not
have to be certified (as a ham you're expected to have the skills to make it
technically acceptable), but a pre-built rig might be illegal to operate.
For example, I've heard that the cheapo red HT's available are illegal (as
broadcast on Amateur Radio Newsline).
They certainly look interesting though.

Not yet, I thought I would wait for the RTTY upgrade.
