[RVRC] PI Day Special Event 3/14/2026

Not sure how many of my friends know that I got down on a knee and asked
Susanne to marry me at 3:14 PM MDT on PI Day, March 14, 2017!  Later, we
got married at 3:14 PM MDT in Billings, Montana on PI Approximation Day
July 22, 2018. OK, that's a pretty geeky, but fun, way to remember very
special days!

Another way to celebrate Susanne and me is to participate in the annual PI
Day Special Event on ham radio!  My David Sarnoff Radio Club N2RE has been
sponsoring this event every year for as long as I can remember. Living in
the shadow of Albert Einstein and having an opportunity to operate ARRL
VHF/UHF contests from the QTH of Nobel Laureates like Dr. Joe Taylor K1JT
(you've been using his software since JT65 days....FT8 today) gives one a
unique perspective on math and science!
