Ted was a great guy, a friend and a neighbor. I first met Ted on 40 meters back in the early 70’s. He was living in an apartment in Long Island at the time and was operating mobile with a SBE-34. He was WA2FQG and I was WA2ZBO. Shortly he and his wife Carol would move to Brunswick Acres in South Brunswick where he established a fixed station and had his two sons, Neal and Adam. He and I were members of the East Brunswick ARC back in the days when the great Walt Maxwell W2DU was also a member and we were also members of the Raritan Valley RC, W2QW. Ted was only 56 when he died. He was a great operator, graduate EE and entrepreneur. He founded and owned TMAC, a UHF amplifier company primarily providing amplifiers for military applications. After Ted passed Carol sold the Brunswick Acres house, moved to a 55 community in Monroe and died in 2020 at the age of 74. After Ted died, Bill Hudzik W2UDT and I helped Carol dismantle Ted’s station and dispose of the equipment. Ted and Carol are buried out in Long Island. May they both rest in peace, Amen 🙏
