Good evening.
A fellow ham reached out to our radio club for help.
He tries several other clubs with no response, so he was very happy that I responded.
WF3P, Roger Smith.
Roger who lives in Branchburg, has to move out of his house (he’s moving to Kansas) this Saturday and needs to clear out his ham shack.
He has a room full of component parts, connectors, radios, and accessories etc.
Dozens and dozens and dozens of boxes and draw cabinets of radio components, connectors, manuals, books and more.
Think a Radio Shack store in one room.
He also has many antique crystal radios and components for them.
Equipment he has in his shack at this time:
Yeasu FT101E
FV-101B External VFO
Yeasu YC-601 Digital Display
HeathKit Electronic keyed
HeathKit SWR Power Meter
HeathKit RF Signal Generator
HeathKit SA 2040 Antenna Tuner
QRP Labs QMX+ Transceiver
Radio Shack HTX-420 HT
MFJ Tunable DSP Filter
Here is the situation: he would like to get something for the equipment.
If he can't sell by Saturday, then he would like to donate to our club.
I told him if we can get some people to drop by and pick up the equipment, we could put it out at our hamfest and share the proceeds with him.
He is not asking much and is accepting anything offered.
If you can help and perhaps have a van or pickup and can store some of this, that would be awesome.
Or if you can just stop by and help take a few bags of items, that would be great.
What is not taken will go in a dumpster!
Roger said that he would prefer not to have calls from everyone and asked that I be the contact person for coordinating pickups.
So please, if you can help, call me immediately (908-334-0197) and I will make arrangements to meet up with anyone at this house (17 Arrowhead Drive, Branchburg).
Thank you all for any help you can render.
