Hello fellow members,
After a great deal of anguish, struggles and pressure we now have a working
2 meter repeater ON THE AIR!
Please understand that the installation goals have not been completely
achieved but will be addressed as time permits our host.
BUT....now it's up yet after a great deal of stress it remains, mostly,
QUIET.
C'MON BOYS AND GIRLS, let's get back into operating our radios and talking
to each other. Again, the best times are in the a.m. commuting hours and in
the p.m. returning home hours. If you're driving..get your mobile rigs set
up. Be judicious with placement and use so you do not drive distracted. If
you feel uncomfortable using the radio while driving...how about a short
call-out just before you turn out onto the street and when you arrive at
your destination? (It doesn't need to be a "rag-chew" session but a quick
hello and how are you doing will be great.
We once had a great Sunday Net activity and if someone has the willingness
to host a RVRC social net one night each week...that would rekindle
activity. (I'm sure there is enough going on in your daily activities to
make conversation.)
I am listening to the repeater almost all day....I have a scan routine in my
H.T. and if I hear anyone I will make an attempt to reply.
Now.....the repeater is operating back on it's original CTCS (PL) frequency
of 141.3 Hz. That is what's listed in the MetroCor database and what is
shown in the "REPEATER DIRECTORY".
So, go ahead and reprogram you radios for 146.625 - 0.600 MHz offset and a
CTCS 141.3 Hz
Don't forget, too, the 70 cm repeater (442.250) has been operating with a
reduced footprint (for the time being) until we find a suitable site for it.
Let's go GANG! Get back to HAM RADIO.
