Good afternoon all,

Today, Dad is still in ICU (please no visitors).

On the positive sides, he has been taken of the ventilator, and has been helped into a chair to sit up at least for some portion of the day early this morning.

Of course he and the team are still working to balance his pain management, but that’s part of the deal.

Overall, we are very happy with the progress Dad has made in this short time.  Recovery will be a marathon effort, but day one was positive :)

I will do my best to give this contact list a daily update as developments occur.

PS: I’ve got one underlying concern for which maybe someone in the group may have a helpful contact.  Dad is interested having a hand rail installed to help him navigate the stairs from the garage level to the kitchen during recovery.  If anyone has a contractor that they recommend I’d be happy to give them a call.
