At the September 13 meeting the members that attended discussed a memorandum of use proposal with Middlesex County OEM for the placement of our 2 Meter and 440 radio's at the Sayerville site. It was agreed to have the executive board work out the final version and sign it on behalf of the club. I was also informed by Sue Lund that the Lund property may be listed for sale as early as Friday of this week. I will be sending an e-mail vote out for the membership to approve the funds for a tower climb for sometime in October. The climb needs to be done before the weather get to cold to be able to remove the hard line from the tower. When the equipment is being removed from the tower we will also be removing the tower. I would appreciate the support of the club with this vote, we are in the position of having to have this work done or possibly risk loosing equipment if the property is sold before being able to have it removed in the spring. We also discussed several possible locations to set up the repeaters on a temporary basis until we can get on to the county site. Last but not least we are looking for nominations for the executive board. As I stated at the last 2 meetings due to increased family obligations my wife and I will not be running this year. Mike (KB2VRM) also said that he will not be running this year. We NEED members to replace us in January. Please remember that this club is run by the membership and not the executive board alone. Your help is needed.
Thank you,
